We don’t know who needs to read this, but here’s a reminder for anyone who does:
Nobody has all the answers.
Sure, the world is full of people who act like they do. The ability to pretend we’ve got everything figured out can be a great way to get ahead — or a balm to soothe the nagging sense of uncertainty that lives within each of us.
But there’s far more truth in uncertainty than in pretending. And there’s far more peace in accepting that all of us are just making it up as we go along.
Yeah, we can draw on our past or imagine our future. But all we’ve got for sure is right now — and right now is unpredictable, wide open, and inclined to remind us that we’re never really who we think we are.
So breathe easy. It’s okay to live in that uncertainty — to put aside all pretense and be the one who doesn’t know.
Come on in, the water’s warm.
